We were commissioned to carry out specialist window repairs at Thorndon Hall in Brentwood, a building of significant architectural and historical importance. As part of our initial inspection, we carefully assessed the condition of each window to determine what could be repaired and what required more extensive intervention.
During this process, we identified that one of the curved top windows had deteriorated beyond the point where a repair would provide a reliable or long-lasting solution. To ensure the integrity and appearance of the building were maintained, our experienced joiners manufactured a brand-new replacement window in our workshop.
The new window was crafted from high-quality Sapele hardwood and fitted with reclaimed glass, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the original windows throughout the building. Particular care was taken to match the existing profiles, proportions, and detailing so that the replacement sat naturally alongside the surrounding joinery without standing out.
We consider it a genuine privilege to be entrusted with replicating original joinery on a building as prestigious as Thorndon Hall, and we take great pride in delivering work that respects the character and heritage of such an important property.
